A quiet field. A red world. A nightmarish secret.

A team of forty were sent into this dimension to study what it was all about. Four ended up getting out. Maxis, I have not been having the best relationship with. Meanwhile, Thomas went completely insane. He delved deep into the history of the Red Fields and found that deep underground there were Eldritch nightmares lurking, sealed away for the safety of the Inter-Dimensional plane. And he got associated with one of them. Constantly, we would find him missing from the observatory. We wouldn't be able to contact, but we could hear him over the radio if conditions were just right. He could be heard spouting incantations. Of what, we didn't know at the time.

But, oh boy, did we learn, when Big Bertha started talking. A massive, vanta-black eldritch behemoth rose from the ground. Spikes and tendrils lined its dripping body. It was quadrupedal. And Thomas was gone. Actually, he merged with the beast. The beast tore through the observatory and slaughtered many people. However, with the help of the Dimension Hoppers, Serge, Maxis and I managed to escape the dimension. Well, Thomas was not happy about that, and Vanta has been stalking us through dimensions, quickly seizing Simon not too long after. If we have any chance of taking Vanta-Tom down, we need help from another eldritch being. Red. Or, whatever his real name is, I don't know.

Red has described how the Red Fields acts as a protective measure for the Inter-Dimensional Plane, because it holds down beings who want to bring death and destruction. Thomas just so happened to free AND merge with one of the worst one. Now it's up to us and Red to take down Vanta before they cause even more apocalyptic destruction to the Inter-Dimensional Portal, which is really struggling at the moment. If it falls apart, the end will be unstoppable.

I just want to go back to my home, but I need to make sure that the Portal doesn't fall apart. Our collective goal, even if we don't get along with each other, is to stop this inter-dimensional apocalypse and fix the Portal. I can't let my family see the end of days.

Well, here is the third Dimension Log album. Originally going under the title "The Expedition" because that is the Dimension Hoppers name of the story this album is about, Red Fields is about a seemingly barren world that holds a dark secret. It was inspired by the Red Pool Exploration from SCP.
