about

Terydgia Forest... or Recursion Forest, if you will. We've known about this dimension for a bit now, and we know to avoid it. It has terrible abilities it uses against people. You see, the forest loops on itself. And that's not all it can do. It also will make you relive your past forever. If you find yourself here, avoid the Eye at all cost. If you step foot in it, that's what starts the memory recursion. It will make you relive moments from your past, good and bad, even the dangerous ones. And all the paths lead to the Eye of the Forest, hence "Eye". Avoid this dimension at all cost. It's not worth getting trapped in an endless loop.

-Ray Vantair

This album took longer to make than I expected. I wanted to make a field recording album with ambient background. I didn't expect it to take months. Motivation yet again was hindered, but it's not fully depression's fault. The main reason is because I've been extremely busy recently. Now that this one's done, I have an idea of even more terrifying album than Holdgaurd Hotel. It's an idea that spawned to a voice call about the Dimension Log in general.

This also spawned from the flames of a project that my close friend and collaborator, Wilbur Bullara. He was planning to make an ARG about a forest, and I filmed videos for it, but the project fell through. We ended up starting a new ARG about weather that is currently in very early stages, so no word on when that will even be public. I also filmed stuff for that project, and this album samples audio from both projects.

Another inspiration, specifically for the "recursion" concept, is an idea that has been kicking around for years. Recursion Forest, for which there is a song of the same name in the RonZak album, Reminiscing the Past, was a show I wanted to make for a long time, and my friend Casper Kidner, who I started the Dimension Hoppers thing with, had filmed an unfinished episode for it. I don't know; maybe one day we'll be able to restart that project in the future. I have no idea, though.

This album was also being worked on during the collection of "dimension" in a "actual dimension log." Salt has been helping me keep track of my dimension ideas, as well as spawning new ones. I have to give credit where credit is due.

This album was hard to find a satisfying album sequencing. I'm probably going to regret this track order at some point, but it's fine as it is. I did my best to make it make sense in my head.

And for a final note. I was really pushing my limit i set for myself with this album. I didn't want it to be a long. It ended being forty-nine minutes. I wanted it to be in the forty minutes, but wow, was that pushing it.

Don't ask why the original title of "Your Fallen Fort" was "Walk Along Now". I don't know. Also the album was almost called Terygdia Forest, but Terydgia has a better ring to it.
