These are old recordings that date back to 2019 that were never released for a reason that escapes me. Inspired by how Califone made a live soundtrack to Tim Rutili's film "All My Friends are Funeral Singers", I wanted to make these weird recordings I would end up calling soundscapes. These probably stretch the definition of soundscapes, but whatever. Every recording here was a live records, with many of them being worked on in post. This album also has the rarest recordings of me playing a trumpet, which I actually can do. I no longer have access to a trumpet anymore, sadly. I'd also like to make another volume of this, which I've already started working on. This track title scheme will continue on with that one, but this album naming scheme will probably end after the next one. I don't know.
